My Reunion-Arts-Field-Birthday Day, or more commonly known as Sports Day, was yesterday . About a month ago my co-worker told me that the Schools Sports day was coming up on November 22, and it would be best if I attended. Unfortunately, I already had plans in the afternoon, but I was more than happy to make an appearance in the morning. As the day approached it became apparent that sports day wasn’t really just about playing tug-of-war and having some foot races. It was about commemorating the school’s 60th birthday, it was a reunion for previous students, it was an art exhibition, and it was a field day, ALL IN ONE. The day dawned early and required a quick trip to Starbucks to bring a smile to this English teacher’s face, but the sun was out and so I was ready for whatever sports day brought me. It turned that the day consisted almost entirely of be wrangling 1st graders and taking pictures.
Hash (Race Day) So naturally after all that hullaballoo in the AM, I took part in the Thanksgiving Hash in the afternoon. Set in FengYuan, it was run by my good friend Holli. She killed it. It was a great run. I came in first for the women! Wheee!
What a fun Reunion-Arts-Field-Birthday-Race Day.
